Life Round here:
Te Awamutu, New Zealand….its a quiet farming district placed in the centre of the north island next to the small city of
Hamilton. Although a lot of Te Awamutu is made up of farms it has many attributes that make it unique and special to all the people who live there. It is a very friendly environment full of sporting clubs and activities, rugby is one of the main sports in our district but people play other sports like: football, hockey and netball. The Waikato rugby team has many loyal supporters in Te Awamutu and are a very competitive side that compete in the domestic competition and the air
New Zealand cup. Te Awamutu has given itself the name of: The rose town of
New Zealand, this is because Te Awamutu has a large park called the war memorial park and it is full with roses. A few more of the activities in Te Awamutu include: The ASB events centre, the movie theatre, local shops and a few local sports parks. Te Awamutu is a great place to live even though the weather can be a bit unpredictable, but the bad weather doesn’t stop the locals from having a good time. Another good thing about Te Awamutu is that it has many great schools such as the one that I attend which is called: Te Awamutu Intermediate.
