Season’s

Spring brings bitter rain that waters the world

Spring is the time for flowers to develop.

All day you can hear the clicking sound of the cicadas.

When the rain stops people come out to have fun in the grass.

Animals all over the country give birth leaving farmers with all types of new born animals.

The warm weather still surrounds us.

Spring brings bitter rain that waters the world.

Summer brings the burning hot sun that heats the sky.

People flee to the coast to find water and shade.

Sun-block, covered people hide under beach umbrellas,

Drinking icy drinks to quench the extreme thirst that the long summer brings.

The once empty sea is now populated with people that are desperate to cool down.

Farmer’s water there crops trying to stop them from failing.

Ice-cream melts in your hand as you try to eat it.

Summer brings the burning hot sun that heats the sky.

Autumn brings soft chilly winds that rustle the leaves.

Brown crinkled leaves fall from nearly bare trees,

Vast piles of leaves are made to keep them out of the way.

People start leave fights and end up covered in dirt and mud.

Heaters turn on as the weather grows cold.

Once again the oceans and beaches are left stranded.

Bare branches are all that remain of the once beautiful trees.

Autumn brings soft chilly winds that rustle the leaves.

Winter can be the most pleasant season and the worst season at the same time.

Winter means its time to light hot fires.

With winter comes snow rain and hail.

It brings freezing wet weather.

Snow men begin to appear in the streets.

It is the time for snow fights and skiing.

Winter can be the most pleasant season and the worst season at the same time.

Football: Champions League Final

Posted on May 23rd, 2007 in Uncategorized by gareth7

AC Milan beat Liverpool 2-1 with two goals from Filippo Inzaghi to win the European Cup for the seventh time and avenge their defeat by Liverpool on penalties in the final two years ago.

I was very disappointed with the result of the Champions League final because I was supporting Liverpool. But Kuyt scored  good header for Liverpool which made the final a little bit more bearable. This was the seventeenth time AC Millan won the Champions League final which I think is very amazing.

Did anyone watch the Final? If so what are your thoughts on it?

Author: Linda HoyPublisher:

Collins publishing group

Year Published: 1990

No. of Pages: 203

General Theme: Fiction/ thriller.

ISBN:  0-00-693545-1

Castle Head Field Study Centre is surrounded by history and folklore. Jenny can feel it from the moment she arrives to start work at her first job. Dangerous fast moving tides surround the centre and they create quicksand’s that could easily drown a person. Determined to uncover her past and trace her real mother, she is distracted by the arrogant Belmont School boys who arrive for a weeklong course. But Jenny has to put all of her prejudices behind her, as disaster threatens to engulf her, the boys, the centre and the secret of the sands.

I thought this book was very interesting because I have never read a thriller before so it was new for me. I think this book was a challenge for me because I don’t usually read this kind of book. I think the reason why I found it different was because it was written in 1990 and I am used to more modern books.

The author could have described the characters more because I found it hard to visualize them in the story, but the character’s surroundings and feelings were described very well. At times it was hard to separate the characters from each other because they were very similar. I think this book would have been better if there were less characters and it could have been more focused on the main person.

Overall this was an average book and would be good for people who enjoy a short thriller. I would rate it 2.5

Last Saturday me and my freind Sam went to Anchor park to play football for the Te Awamutu open grade first team. We were playing Peachgrove second team so it should have been an easy game and it was…we won 8-0.We scored four goals in the first half and four goals in the second half. This season we have won two games out of three and tomorrow we play cambridge which will be a verry hard game for us. I will write about the results of that next week.

Colour Poetic Writing: Black

Posted on May 16th, 2007 in Uncategorized by gareth7

Black represents darkness and secrecy

Black is the dark side of all people

Black is the hidden shadow that everyone fears

Black is depression and sorrow,

It is emptiness and loneliness

Black is power, strength and passion

Black tastes bitter and cold

It represents hatred

Black is the banging and crashing that frightens you at night

It is the howl of the wind and the cries of pain

Black is the hot sand that burns your feet

It is the pain you feel when someone close to you dies

Black is the side of everyone that they don’t want to show.

It is the anger that lives within you

Quality Writing: Evil

Posted on May 16th, 2007 in Uncategorized by gareth7

As a child evil was normal but quiet,

He would lock himself in his room and never talk to anyone. His mother is hate and his father was deception. His mother moved away when he was just 5 years old so when his father died he shut himself out from the rest of the world. And from then on he was unhappy and cruel. Evil had one sister called Hope which he resented because she was always admired and he was hated.

Evil is a dark and disturbed 30 year old man. He is cruel and manipulative and never friendly to animals. He brings out the worst in everyone. Evil brings pain and frustration to normal people. He will stop at nothing to hurt his sister hope. Hope has tried to connect with Evil but he always shuts her out and over the years hope has stopped trying.

When evil ventures outside his house he hides in slums and ally ways. If people talk to him he just ignores them or gives them a nasty crooked smile. Evil constantly has a horrible flu because he has bad habits in life; He is a heavy drinker and has smoked since he was 16.

Evil hides his white face with a long black coat that has collars that reach his ears. Evil has fiery red hair that is completely flat. He has a long nose that he looks down at people with. He has mischievous slanted eyes and a snow white face because he is always in the shade.

Evils house is large and is painted a dark chocolate brown colour. There is a vicious dog outside that is treated very badly. His house is extremely messy because evil doesn’t care. All evil does is wait for visitors by the door but they never come because he drove everyone away a very long time ago.

Evil is all darkness and hate. He cannot be trusted by anyone.
